We have several new openings for friendly Hosts with a polished, professional appearance and demeanor to join our Twisted Rooster team.  Our Hosts are the first impression our guests have when they walk in the door, and are depended upon to consistently deliver uncommon hospitality with a welcoming smile and prompt, courteous service when greeting and seating all our guests, in person and when handling phone inquiries.  


POSITION SUMMARY

Job Title: Hosts
Reports to: Dining Room Manager
Location: Grand Rapids, Belleville, Chesterfield, Michigan
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience desirable
Experience: Host or customer service experience in a restaurant or retail work environment preferred 
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills will help you succeed in this position
Growth Potential: Starting as a Host is a great entry-level position to work as a Server and in our Special Events team

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet guests positively, as a representation of their first interaction with the restaurant.
  • Request how large of a party guests need seating for, and accommodate any special arrangements. 
  • Provide guests with a wait time determined by the number of tables that will soon become available.
  • Seat guests, rotating between various sections to ensure servers can provide prompt and friendly customer service to each guest.
  • Maintain a record of table availabity at the server station to be able to quickly identify where to seat new guests.
  • Organize food menus, LTO menus, kid’s menus, and other promotional material, ensure they are properly distributed to each guest. 
  • Maintain menus by cleaning them at the end of each shift, and only allowing presentable menus to remain in rotation.
  • Take reservations over the phone, and make sure all arrangements are documented with the guests’ name, phone number, number of people expected in party, and time of arrival.
  • Continually conduct secondary work during times when the restaurant is not as busy.  This could include but is not limited to, sweeping the entrance area, washing windows, wiping down children’s booster seats, and assisting servers with maintaining their sections.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role will require some physical demand including standing, walking, bending, and lifting/carrying up to 25lbs.  Working in the front of house at the front entry of the restaurant in a moderately controlled environment, interacting with customers.
