About this job
Established freight forwarder located near the JFK airport seeks a Customs Entry Writer.
Must have 5 years of prior/recent relevant experience (from a freight forwarder and/or customs broker). MUST have sufficient knowledge of the harmonized tariff schedule and Customs regulations.
Duties include all tasks related to Customs clearance such as: accuracy in Customs entry and clearance, follow-up with Customs and other government agencies, communicating effectively with customers and vendors, and managing a large volume of email and phone correspondence.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Position type: Direct Hire
Salary:contingent upon prior experience
