Summary

Regional Director Sales

The Regional Director Sales is responsible for developing and leading consultative business relationships with the Sales Leadership Team of a National Client. The position is responsible for achieving KPI targets, score-carding results and leveraging business scorecards to drive performance, generating new business growth opportunities, problem solving as necessary, and managing a team of BDMs to achieve and over-achieve client goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with the team of Business Development Managers (BDM), ensure that a plan is in place to achieve and measure Key Performance Indicators. Work with BDMs to build and nurture strong customer relationships at the mid to senior level
  • Achieve and exceed Client sales goals and commission budget by ensuring all Clients’ brand marketing and Customer strategies are implemented
  • Assist market and customer business teams with the development of sales presentations for key customer opportunities and business building ideas.
  • Utilize syndicated data (i.e. Nielsen, IRI, Spectra, etc.) as well as internal ASM tools such as SOE, COE and ARTS retail reporting)
  • Partner with retail leadership to ensure all headquarter initiatives are effectively and timely executed at store level as well as delivering ROI.
  • Manage staffing priorities so that workload utilization is maximized.
  • Manage talent to meet future business needs by identifying high potential associates within the team, and provide appropriate developmental plans or improvement programs for low performers.
  • Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources. May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports.
  • Driving and Travel up to 50% are essential duties and function of this job.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (MBA Preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in direct or broker sales of Consumer Packaged Goods.
  • 5+ years previous experience with managing direct reports.
