Responsibilities:
Operate equipment in a safe manner as outlined in JSA.
- Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment.
- Recharge lift truck battery or replace/refuel gas tank.
- Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations or trailers.
- Understand and follow instructions given by on-board RF unit. Correctly operate the hand-held scanning device.
- Manually load/unload material not designed to be handled by forks or pole.
- Must be receptive to all training related to the lift truck operator position or any cross-training deemed necessary by supervision.
- Any other tasks assigned by manager
- Knowledge and skills required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to learn system operation.
- Dependable, with good attendance record.
- Must be able to pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.
- At least 6 months experience in a warehouse facility
- Operate forklift equipment and pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.
- Ability to operate banding and wrapping machines in assigned facility.
- Experience with cut tables helpful.
- Working knowledge of AS400 system, or willingness to learn system operation.
- Dependable, with good attendance record.
