Position Overview

This customer-oriented professional is accountable for providing skin therapy services in a high-volume health and wellness clinic. This individual consistently strives to deliver a world-class service experience, keep their schedule filled, and perform tasks with urgency and accuracy. The individual regularly uses independent discretion and judgment to solve problems and make decisions, identifying and repairing customer issues while taking proactive measures to prevent them. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Goal Achievement. Meets or exceeds individual and clinic goals. Actively maintains a time management plan to ensure continuous productivity. Identifies and suggests ways to improve clinic performance.  
  2. Customer Experience. Ensures customer satisfaction and proper flow: Genuinely welcomes customers upon arrival and introduces self. Stays on time and ensures adherence to schedule. Provides and recommends care in accordance with treatment plans. Understands, communicates and properly performs all Massage Envy-specific services. Collaborates with fellow practitioners on specific customer issues when applicable. Maintains active knowledge of products, ingredients, and proper usage for all merchandise and products. Provides comprehensive customer education before, during, and after each treatment. Focuses on customer needs during treatment, keeping personal conversation to a minimum. Before customer departs, works with front desk to schedule next appointment, recommends products, and genuinely thanks customer for visiting. Ensures esthetic room is clean, including sterilized equipment, organized and customer-ready at all times. Ensures customer comfort receives the highest priority (music, lighting, heating pad, bolsters, etc). Maintains a positive, friendly, compassionate attitude at all times.
  3. Tasks. Maintains active license status, credentials and malpractice insurance. Reactivates inactive customers. Reviews and completes customer records thoroughly, accurately and in accordance with privacy requirements. Handles customer-related inquiries. Provides assistance to front desk as needed. Advises when supplies are low to ensure essential items are never out of stock. Communicates regularly, and maintains strong relationships, with management and staff. Checks communication board/folder daily. Suggests new processes where necessary. Maintains and improves functional and clinical knowledge. Adheres to clinic attendance, dress code and laundry policies. Works with lead massage therapist to improve and enhance massage abilities within scope of license.
  4. Assists with special projects, job-related assignments, miscellaneous clinic tasks and offsite events as needed.

Position Requirements

  • License to practice skin care therapy from an accredited institution (active status).
