Summary: The Hub Food Service Worker is responsible for managing the proper preparation of food orders and transactions of those orders with the upmost emphasis on customer service in a diverse high volume food service operation. Performs cashiering duties. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Greet them with a smile, offer daily specials, provide great service, and process sales properly.
  • Prepare Hub Grill menu items including burgers, wraps, sandwiches, daily specials and smoothies. Operate the grill, fryer, ovens and cold prep station.
  • Prepare Hub grab & go items including salads, sandwiches, parfaits and fruit cups, assist with product labeling.
  • Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures, avoiding cross contamination, wearing a cut glove while using a knife, and logging daily temperature checks.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks including washing dishes, cleaning floors, cleaning kitchen, refrigerators, storage rooms and customer dining area.
  • Keep all areas clean and organized utilizing proper cleaning products and sanitation standards.
  • Set up and maintain store items; restock beverages, frozen entrees, ice cream and dry items.
  • Ensures that all retail and display items are meeting the pre-established Great Expectations display standards.
  • Set up and maintain beverage station including soda machine, brewing coffee and iced tea, keeping area clean and organized.
  • Be courteous and helpful to all customer requests. Seek assistance from management or supervisors as needed.
  • Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
  • Performs sales transactions. Enters sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
  • Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment. Issues receipts to customers. Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
