This role is the primary operations lead for the execution of public service functions of the Holland Creek and Red Sky Ranch Metropolitan Districts.  Responsibilities include management and performance of a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair and operation of roadways, shoulders, roadway infrastructure, district buildings and equipment.  The position will also provide timely support of the Ranch Manager and water contractor.  Work includes operation of motorized equipment, vehicles, hand tools and the expenditure of heavy physical labor.  

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of equipment, trucks and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, snow removal and construction of facilities. Includes equipment such as front end loaders, dump trucks, street sweepers and other motorized equipment.
  • Oversee execution of snowplowing performed by golf course staff.  Perform such snowplowing when conditions or staffing levels require. 
  • Manage and performs activities necessary to construct, paint and install street signs, street lights and guardrails.  Maintain asphalt including sealing cracks and filling pot holes, operation of snowplows and sanders and flagging traffic.
  • Perform un-skilled, semi-skilled, and skilled labor in support of normal work activities such as using shovels, rakes, jackhammers, power tools, mowers, weed whips, chain saws etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all equipment used e.g. checking fluids, functional components, cleaning, tire changing, plow maintenance, broom/brush replacement etc.
  • Pick up and deliver a variety of materials such as topsoil, road base, asphalt, water and other building materials.
  • Work with Director of Base Area Operations to review Design Review Board submittals for compliance with District rules and regulations, development easements, roadway / drainage impacts, curb cuts, construction management enforcement and post construction inspections. 
  • Monitor and enforce Metro District Rules and Regulations
  • Support the 3rd party contractor on basic tasks pertaining to the operation, maintenance and repair water and waste water systems 
  • Provides periodic support to the Ranch Manager on house checks, granting contractor access, alarm response, trash service, package deliveries and trail/fence repairs. 
  • Coordinate with Metro District administration on budgets, accounts payable approval, fee calculations
  • Attend monthly District Board meetings, RSR HOA Board meetings as required
  • The position spends the bulk of the time working autonomously. Manager must be a problem solver, self-starter and comfortable operating autonomously without direct supervision.  Manager must be skilled at managing priorities within a changing environment. 
  • Supervisor must be comfortable interacting with and representing the Company with property owners.
