Electrical Maintenance Technician

2 nd shift

3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • Using strong electrical and mechanical skills, perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
Job Description

  • Hands-On aptitude and ability a must.
  • Perform electro/mechanical skills including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency and/or unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production by diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts and making adjustments.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform regular, routine and emergency maintenance.
  • Detect faulty operations and/or defective material and report to supervisor.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to accomplish tasks.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • Able to satisfactorily pass the in-company forklift training program.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma. Associate’s degree in, electrical, mechanical or industrial maintenance is a plus.
  • Bearing industry experience is preferred.
  • Three to five years experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial skills.
  • Operate overhead cranes.
  • Basic mathematic, reading and language skills.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good attendance record, performance record and ability to work well with others are necessary.

  • Willingness to work in a Hands-On environment.
  • Ability to follow directions well and understand simple written instructions, memos and standard operating procedures.
  • Take responsibility for own actions.
  • Self starter with the ability to perform daily tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • A strong sense of responsibility to the job with respect to attendance and good judgement to know when to ask questions.
  • Understanding that working safely and following company guidelines and policies on safety are a requirement for the job.
