HVAC Technician – Framingham, MA

2nd shift (3-11:30)

Job Summary:

Troubleshoot equipment, performs normal maintenance, repairs and installation TJX Building and Data Center systems and equipment. Supports the operation of the Facilities Emergency Mgt Systems, Fire Systems and provides support to all trades such as electrical, plumbing, roofing, general construction, grounds, irrigation and snow removal. Participates in an on-call program, responds to emergency call during and after hours and works overtime for snow removal and other building related needs.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and install HVAC systems and equipment at the TJX Data Center
• The equipment shall include pumps, motors, water source heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, roof top units, unit heaters and chillers.
• Work with and supervise, contractors so that building standards are maintained
• Work with other skilled trade workers on HVAC, plumbing, snow removal and any other assignment given by management which is necessary for the maintenance of the facility
• Respond to emergency calls as part of the on-call program and participate in any activity necessary to keep the Facility operating properly.
• Operate, troubleshoot and repair the Energy Mgt System software and hardware controlling the Home Office complex
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Polished and gentleman-like
• Need a valid driver’s license (no use of your personal vehicle)
• Possibility of going to our other campus in Marlboro, MA for emergencies
• Able to lift 50lbs

Skills:

Good mechanical, electrical skills to service the facility equipment

Good analytical trouble-shooting skills to evaluate and solve building issues

Good interpersonal skills to interact with the building occupants

Basic PC skills to operate the energy management systems

Minimum Experience:

5 years as an HVAC Technician

2 years in service and trouble-shooting of commercial buildings

2 years with experience in operating energy management systems

Education:

Technical or trade school education in the electrical field

Electrical/ Journeyman license

Nice to have skills/ experience:

Novar/ Trend Controls

OSHA 10-hour Certification (could obtain after hired)
