Major Duties/ Responsibilities

Based on IT Strategy and EPMO overall enterprise objectives:
  • Develops and promotes standard, global IT enterprise level metrics, analysis and reporting related to portfolio, program, project and resource management and delivery. Continually analyzes and assesses data to derive monitoring and trending to provide actionable, proactive management at all levels of the organization.
  • Establishes, compiles and maintains information across the IT enterprise in support of senior level management of project delivery..
  • Identifies targeted areas of metrics and analysis that will improve project delivery. Identifies and builds proactive metrics.
  • Develops, populates and maintains a centralized repository of reporting and metrics with project supporting reports for PMs and PgM, BSLs, senior leadership and the EPMO. Creates dashboard views as appropriate for each level..
  • Derives requirements for appropriate project delivery supporting tools for the enterprise. Responsible for configuring and implementing tools, creating processes and training, providing training and education at all levels of the organization. Monitors and assesses continuous improvement and enhancements for the tool.
  • Understanding program and project methodology, implements proactive supporting metrics and reporting standards, methods and standard templates to ensure project resources, deliverables, costs and timescales are managed appropriately.
  • Benchmarks Project Management practices to ensure, where appropriate, best in class IT status is achieved and maintained. Collaborates with project delivery groups to provide relevant data and training to ensure project management methods are utilized consistently across IT departments and are in alignment with strategic IT and enterprise-wide goals.
  • Works collaboratively with EPMO Partners to develop and implement project planning methodology, tools, and standards to promote consistency in how projects are managed.
  • Primary support, administration, training and implementation of PPM related systems.
  • Establishes a standard process and reporting mechanism for timely IT Project Status updates to reflect status of active projects in order to improve IT delivery based on key metrics including (but not limited to) each project's total spend, resource usage, expected timeline, risk and issues management, and achieved deliverables/milestones. Develops procedures and methods to track key metrics and performance (i.e. electronic dashboards). Utilizes key metrics and performance measurements that can be used to track and improve IT productivity, effectiveness and project delivery levels.
  • General support and assistance in all EPMO functions and deliverables.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Develops and implements best practice IT Portfolio Management metrics, analysis and reporting standards and procedures
  • Designs documentation and training of project management analysis tools, standards and their proper application
  • Determines appropriate metrics and performance measurements to track application and effectiveness of agreed standards
  • Designs audits to determine levels of compliance to project management standards
  • Develops reporting appropriate and actionable for different levels of the IT organization
  • Provides IT project governance guidance, direction and training to BSLs, CRMs, PgM, PMs, PAs and all project delivery groups in support of improved on time, on budget, quality and compliant measures
  • Enterprise cross-functional, global role
  • Effective IT Portfolio/Program/Project Delivery analysis, metrics and reporting will lead to increased efficiencies and productivity


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
  • Technical skill levels required: MS Excel – advanced; MS PowerPoint – intermediate; MS Visio – intermediate; MS Word – intermediate.
  • Process Knowledge (i.e., Business Planning, Resource Management and Dashboard Reporting)
  • Strong analytical and detail level expertise. Can recognize anomalies in data and either action or provide recommendations for action
  • Ability to interpret and represent data in an understandable and meaningful manner at the appropriate level for the audience
  • Strong training development, delivery and change management skills related to analytics, metrics and reporting
  • Experience and understanding of program and project methodology from an analytical perspective
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Methodology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization
  • 3 years of analytical and reporting experience in support of project methodology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technology, information systems, business, accounting, finance, engineering or communications or equivalent experience.
  • Industry recognized project management certification preferred.
