Summary: Working with and reporting to the Billing Team Lead, the Customer Service Representative will provide billing and administrative support to the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Prepares, reviews, and sends patient statements
    Identifies and resolves patient billing inquiries. Resolve customer concerns utilizing in-house billing resources
    Answer questions from patients, staff, and insurance companies
    Follows and reports status of delinquent accounts
    Process customer refunds, review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies
    Performs various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers. Make collection calls
    Provide the customer with written information as needed
    Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts- customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos
    Work insurance accounts receivable and patient accounts receivable. Work credit balance process refunds
    Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get claim processed and paid
    Cross train on payment posting and other billing functions
    Manages the account receivable reports
    Provides billing information by carrier, analyzing and summarizing third-party billings, accounts pending, and late charges data and trends
    Summarize billings, adjustments and revenues received
    Analyze claims system reports to ensure underpayments are correctly identified and collected from key carriers.
    Assist other departments as necessary
    Work on special projects as assigned

Qualifications:
   Experience in a high-volume medical billing department
    Experience with multi-site, individually credentialed facilities (Urgent Care, ASC, etc.)
    athenaCollector experience preferred
    Strong Excel skills
    Enjoying working in a fast pace environment
    Must display proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines at the same time
    Must possess strong organizational skills, a strong work ethic, a professional attitude, and superior customer service skills
    Must be able to work well independently and with a team and have a means of transportation, Either a car or bike..
