Pet Sitter - Part-time

Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting is a locally owned in-home pet sitting business operating in Pierce and Kitsap Counties and Vashon Island. We do custom pet care, tailored to fit each individual client's needs. Our team is responsible, professional, hardworking and shares our desire to provide the best possible care to our client's and their pets. 

We are currently looking for morning, mid-day and evening pet sitters and dog walkers, as well as overnight pet and house sitters.  Part-time is normal but full-time work is possible if you are the right fit.

*Exceptional customer service skills. Sitters must interact effectively with clients and their pets and be able to provide peace of mind to pet parents who may feel nervous about leaving their pets. *Excellent communication skills. Sitters must stay in contact, and communicate well with the office staff, as well as fellow pet sitters and clients, both orally and in writing. *Ability to handle all types and sizes of dogs with many different personalities and temperaments. We provide services for all types of pets, too. Pet sitting can be physically demanding. We are outside walking dogs and caring for animals in all types of weather. *Understanding of the importance of following detailed client instructions. Many pets require special food, care or medication and a mistake could affect the health and safety of the pets or the client's home. *Flexibility! Each day as a pet sitter is different from the next. If you work best in a very structured environment, this job is not for you. A pet sitter's schedule is always changing. A readjustment of a schedule in the beginning or middle of a day is common due to a last minute, same day request. *Responsibility, dependability and honesty. Clients entrust us with their most prized possessions...their homes and their beloved pets. Sitters are responsible for taking necessary steps to prevent lost keys, damage to client homes, and mistakes regarding pet care. Sitters must be dependable and available when they are scheduled. Sitters must be honest and trustworthy since without this, in home pet sitting is a worthless business.
