Meat Wrapper

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Meat Wrapper.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

FLSA:  Non-exempt (hourly; eligible for overtime)

Reports to:  Meat Manager

Summary:  To assure high quality customer service and assist in department operations.  Provide support toward department objectives and helps to drive sales. 

Assignments and work direction will be provided by Meat Manager, Meat Merchandiser, or the manager/person in charge.

Essential Functions:

• Follow all Red Shirt Service guidelines at all times
• Greets each customer as they approach the meat department
• Process each customer order with proper quantities, quality and price
• Promote product through suggestive selling and assist customers with questions
• Complete customer orders in a timely manner
• Properly wraps, weighs, and labels meat products.
• Understand grinding log and policies
• Assists with deliveries being properly received and put away
• Handles damaged and spoiled meats according to company policy
• Notifies meat cutter and/or meat manager of case needs, challenges, or opportunities
• Follow all merchandising plans to maximize sales and gross profit dollars
• Assist with department inventories
• Attend all department meetings Assure proper procedures are being followed
• Follow instructions given to completion
• Rotate product
• Assure that cases are full, clean, and attractive
• Code date product and remove all out dated product or product unfit for sale
• Set all cases and displays as per instructions
• Reduce shrink
• Avoid unnecessary waste
• Complete next day preparation
• Follows all proper cleaning and organization of department
• Follows all proper food handling and labeling procedures
• Follows all store and department policies as stated in the teammate handbook and any other manuals
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
