Description

National Account Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

The National Account Manager, Field Sales grows market share, revenue and profitability of assigned accounts. Develops new revenue streams through direct sales to ‘B’ and ‘C’ level prospects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with representatives of assigned accounts at multiple levels within each organization above and below the primary contact.
  • Develop competitive preference by aligning service delivery with critical success factors (CSF’s),
  • Determine CSF compliance and success rates by measuring and reporting results both internally and externally.


· Resolve internal and external customer issues when service delivery does not meet expectations by assessing influencing factors and developing solutions.

· Ensure and maintain integrity of revenue forecasting through accurate schedule updates and projections.

· Protect profitability for each assigned account by analyzing monthly cost of service delivery and through annual projections.

· Improve efficiencies and solidify competitive preference by developing and implementing strategic initiatives in conjunction with internal and external customers.

· Generate competitive intelligence by benchmarking service delivery to competitive performance and processes, as well as by reporting internally on comparisons.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or related curriculum.

Experience:

Normally requires a minimum of two to five years prior successful business to business sales or account management experience, preferably in the service or service related industry. Multi-unit management with customer service responsibilities would be an acceptable alternative. Requires the ability to comfortably interact with customer representatives, including executives. Requires familiarity with the retail industry and business to business sales.

Skills:
  • Ability to establish rapport with customer representatives and leverage this relationship to the company’s benefit.
  • Ability to create and make large-scale presentations to executive level individuals.
  • Ability to develop strategic and tactical initiatives to address customer requirements and implement these with the internal customer group


· Ability to fluently use Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Power Point and Excel. Ability to resolve conflicts and recognize opportunities to be a solutions provider.

· Ability to analyze and comprehend raw performance data and draw conclusions and implement solutions relevant to business needs.

· Ability to travel to client sites within the United States.
