The Senior Data Quality & Data Quality Analyst will be a key member of the Data Quality team dedicated to the long term strategy of establishing an enterprise data quality culture where quality information is achieved, maintained, valued, and used to enable business growth and innovation.
Primary Responsibilities:


Perform as a Subject Matter Expert on Data Quality to identify, document, and resolve data quality issues related to business data

Lead building and monitoring of Data Quality rules on various ODM data warehouses and assets

Mentor a team of data analyst both local and remote with openness to lead resources in the future

Ensure reporting, monitoring of data and follow-up with operational teams is accomplished according to ODM guidelines and SLA's
Work closely with business analysts, applications development, and subject matter experts to translate business objectives into practical data quality business rules/requirements
Validate that data systems meet design specifications and requirements using SQL querying of the data
Identify data quality scope from system specifications and ensure the right coverage when it comes to validating the data against such specifications
Determine data quality improvement recommendations as well as process improvement recommendations for the source systems
Collaborate directly with the business data owners and business analysts to establish the quality business rules that will provide the foundation of the organization's data quality improvement plan
Utilize data profiling to uncover data issues and perform a rules based assessment of data
Help the business owners implement a root cause analysis process for issues discovered during data quality assessment
Work to develop data quality improvement reporting, dashboards
Gather metadata/documentation from source systems
Articulate the need for and benefits of data quality to both IT and the business

Requirements

Required Qualifications:    

Bachelor degree
5+ years overall experience within information technology
Ability to understand business process flow and translate that into data quality measurement requirements
3+ years SQL / PL SQL knowledge
5+ years data analysis experience
Experience with more than one relational database types
Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in multiple and concurrent projects
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
 
Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work in one of the following locations: Basking Ridge, NJ; Raleigh, NC; Twin Cities, MN; Boston, MA; Austin, TX
Knowledge and experience with healthcare domain
Experience utilizing data quality tools such as: Global ID, Trillium, Infosphere, etc
Knowledge of and experience working with big data technologies
Experience with tool driven Data Profiling
Experience analyzing and drawing valuable conclusions from the data profiling results
Familiarization with RSA process and agile methodology
