Position Summary
This position provides fundamental payroll processing support to the Payroll Manager and performs general payroll accounting activities. This position assists with the accurate & timely reporting of corporate and restaurant payroll including audits, reports and reconciliation research in a multi-unit, high volume environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP. This role also assists in maintaining accurate payroll processes and procedures and assists the manager with other projects related to the department as needed. This position will help ensure the success of the Payroll Team within the Accounting Department.
Essential Job Duties
● Manage vacation and sick leave accruals and prepare reports
● Audit and research timecard reports
● Research stale dated checks
● Generate and distribute labor reports on a periodic, biweekly and weekly basis
● Review/research payroll/GL reconciliation discrepancies on a periodic basis
● Validate payroll tax accrual balances on a quarterly basis
● Audit employee maintenance activity for approvals and accuracy
● Backup for corporate payroll
● Assist Payroll Department as needed
● Assist Manager with miscellaneous projects as needed
