Job Related Duties: Job duties for all Subway store clerk team members include, but are not limited to the following:
Guest Service:
● Greet all guests with a smile, be friendly and before they leave thank them for shopping at Subway.
● Offer prompt and courteous service.
● Practice suggestive selling (ex. We are having a special on ______, would you be interested in purchasing one?, etc.)
Bookkeeping:

● Efficiently and accurately operate the cash register. Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests and makes change. Follows all cash handling procedures.
● Prepare and accurately maintain shift change report at the completion of each shift as well as all other shift paperwork in accordance with company guidelines.
● Performs Cash-In Procedure- accounting for all forms of money, bread, etc., during the shift.

General Job Duties:
● Greet and serve guests, prepare product, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and handle or process light paperwork.
● Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
● Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders.
● Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.
● Prepares food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
● Checks products in sandwich unit area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
● Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
● Cleans and maintains the customer and service areas and equipment to promote a clean restaurant image.
● Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the company policies
● Performs light paperwork duties and other duties as assigned.
● Abides by all brand standards and company policies and procedures, including those outlined in the employee handbook.
● Be available to work various hours/shifts including holidays and weekends.
● Rotate stock in coolers so that the newest product is nearest you and remove any stock that is out of date.
● Maintain fountain drink equipment and ensure syrup boxes and Co2 containers are changed when necessary.
● Maintain security:
o Be alert to shoplifting prevention procedures.
o Only one person can operate a cash register at a time.
o Advise the manager if bank deposits are not done daily.
o Follow the correct vendor check in procedures.



o Protect company assets at all times.
Housekeeping/Maintenance:
● Cleaning floors (sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, etc.)
● Ensuring cooler temperatures are maintained.
● Cleaning shelves and other racks or display cases to maintain an environment that will encourage guests to return.
● Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms during each shift.
● Maintaining clean and organized cooler and freezer units.
● Clean all windows, doors, and entry ways.
● Empty trash inside and outside of the building each shift.
● Keep all equipment in clean working order.
