General Summary:
The Food Servers are responsible for setting and clearing table, delivering and serving food to residents and guests from the kitchen in a timely, efficient, friendly fashion and performing various tasks and side work.
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensure that all residents and guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
- Make sure that all tables are set according to reservations
- Attend dinner meetings and review server station assignments
- Take meal orders, clear dishes and reset tables
- Complete assigned side-work
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Skills: Must have prior work experience working in Food Service; be sensitive to the needs of older adults.
Knowledge: Some knowledge of food and wine is helpful, but not required.
Ability: To read, write and communicate in English, be able to coordinate multiple tasks.
Must be 18 or older
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to three hours at a time
Frequent repetitive hand movements, lifting of weights up to 25-35 lbs.
