POSITION PURPOSE
Supervises the daily operation of vendor claim management services.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides direction to claims adjusters relative to the most beneficial settlement alternatives and final disposition. Provides adjusting training on Home Depot Quality Standards. Ensures compliance with established claims management procedures and quality controls. Measures customer and store service satisfaction. Promotes accurate claim reserving and recommends claim closure strategy. Serves as liaison to vendors, contractors and other third parties. Serves as liaison to store on claim problems and allocation questions.

NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Manager of Claims No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be eighteen years of age

EDUCATION REQUIRED
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous claims handling or claims supervision experience required. Adjusters'School Qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy.
Ability to maintain composure when exposed to confrontational situations.
Maintain high level of organizational, administrative and clerical skills. Strong writing, technical, editing, drafting and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively, be flexible and have positive attitude.
Maintain high level of professionalism and courtesy in interactions with store employees, other business clients within the company, vendors and outside counsel.
Exercise good judgment in business decisions affecting the company.
