POSITION PURPOSE - Responsible for assisting in the development of key strategic initiatives across the company. The team works directly with the Executive Leadership Team to refine the companys current strategy and to execute special strategic projects. Specific responsibilities include: - Support the development and monitoring of key strategic initiatives - Conduct specialized analysis for a wide variety of strategic questions that span the breadth of the organization from growth strategies to realization of full-potential opportunities in the core business - Maintain a strategic factbase (market, competitors, trends, etc.)that shapes executive decision-making - Execute acquisitions and divestitures.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
25% - Support annual strategic planning process.
25% - Provide market and competitive business intelligence.
25% - Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations on a wide variety of strategic business decisions important to the Executive Leadership Team; examples include:
1.) Acquisitions or divestitures
2.) Benchmarking (intra and inter-company)
3.) Operational decisions across the company (Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, E-commerce, Store Operations, etc.)
25% - Financial Planning and Analysis.
NATURE AND SCOPE - Reports to Director, Strategic Business Development
No direct responsibility for supervising others.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 6
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - MBA preferred
- Previous experience with a top-tier consulting or investment banking firm
- Retail experience and/or interest

- Strong strategic thinking ability
- Superior analytic skills (quantitative and qualitative)
- General management skills Strong presentation / communication skills
- Ability to influence at all levels in the organization
