Description

Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers that involve ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in a warehouse or yard.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working a rotating 12 hour shift 6pm-6am(see example of 2 week schedule below). Flexibility to work additional hours, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays is required as business needs dictate.

Week 1 hours - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 2 hours - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Position Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse.
  2. Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  3. Train and evaluate warehouse staff on effective inventory techniques and daily tasks.
  4. Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
  5. Conduct physical counts of inventory and reconcile floor counts and inventory shipments.
  6. Schedule and manage warehouse team members within labor and budget while meeting the demands of the facility.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  8. Monitor and enforce all safety, GMP, and PPE requirements.
  9. Ensure all equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and fleet trucks, is properly maintained and inspection practices are followed.
  10. Demonstrate good foresight, teamwork, and possess a thorough knowledge of the distribution operation.
  11. Efficient subject matter expert in SAP warehouse management and RF technology to problem solve and train colleagues as needed.
  12. Maintain Kronos timekeeping and attendance records.
  13. Facilitating effective Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis as needed.
  14. Motivate team members to meet and exceed production expectations on daily basis.
  15. Mentor, coach and provide direction to warehouse operators.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse/distribution center operations
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office
  • 2 years of experience with SAP Warehouse Management System or similar system.
  • 2 years of experience with Occupational Safety Regulations
