WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Bakery Operations Manager at Wholesale Baking Inc., you will be part of our success by:

  • Managing, directing and leading all Bakery Operations in our 10,000 sq foot manufacturing and distribution facility.
  • Operating as the 2nd in command and fully understanding and managing the 24/7 demands of running the plant/bakery operations.
  • Participating in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost containment/reduction strategies
  • Execution of projects including but not limited to development of distribution/ production/merchandising strategies, new contract development and negotiations, development of new lines/brands.
  • Ensuring raw materials are efficiently converted into finished goods for assigned area/shift, direct involvement in recipe development.
  • Accountable for compliance with all Employee Safety, Food Safety and Sanitation policies and regulations
  • Serving as a member of the Bakery Operations Leadership team and holding associates  accountable for adherence to plant direction and policy
  • Develop, manage and lead employees.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed at Wholesale Baking Inc, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong managerial experience in a food/bakery manufacturing setting
  • Experience with leading and applying lean principles in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations
  • Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Business Acumen – must have experience in one or more Functional areas of a manufacturing organization (i.e., Logistics, Operations, Production)
  • Collaborative work style, able to partner with leaders of other functional areas and business partners to drive overall site performance in a manner that aligns with Wholesale Baking Inc.

Preferred

  • Experience in the Wholesale Bakery and Consumer Packaged Goods Industry
