Saws Operator

1st shift position 6:00 am – 4:30 pm; Monday – Thursday; overtime as required; Fridays and Saturdays as requested.

$10-$12/hr. (will depend on experience)

Familiarity with the manufacturing environment preferred. We will provide training on department specific equipment (i.e rolling table saw, band saw beneficial, drill press, glue booth, scrap baler.)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely cut foam producing finished goods or to supply to other departments for further assembly.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Utilize and comply with the Quality Management System

· Utilize safe work practices (safety glasses etc.)

· Ensure proper housekeeping procedures to keep department clean and organized at all times

· Correctly read a tape measure, blueprints and engineering drawings

· Communicate material requirements to leader

· Correctly position materials to avoid waste

· Learn processing procedures, work flow and machinery operations

· Assist in inspection and delivery of finished goods to correct departments

· Learn the following skills/procedures: measurements and blue print reading, use of machine guards, setting up fixtures, general product assembly, inspection and documentation.

· Distinguish differences in materials

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

Education High School diploma or equivalent; shop class beneficial

Computer Skills Basic computer operating skills; prior experience with CNC equipment desirable.

Other Occasionally lift, push, pull objects that may weigh up to 50 lbs. Use hand/eye coordination to produce quality parts
