Sterile Compounding Pharmacist
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee compounding preparations, supervise, and dispense prescription medication in compliance with state & federal laws
- Manage processes regarding patient consultations, review allergies, contraindication resolution, and physician consultations and resolve any other clinical needs daily
- Collaborate with management staff regarding formula development, pricing strategy, and workflow
- Oversee and check all orders received, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Research requirements for changes in licensing requirements from any range of licensing entities
- Ensure department staff follow all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of sterile compounds
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas
- Assist in maintaining database for licensing requirements by business unit to include licensure type, licensing agency, renewal dates and responsible staff
- Understand Pharmaceutical Industry’s Code of Practice
- Ensure compliance with current medication management standards and with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy and the DEA
- Manage a staff of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, customer service representatives, and shipping staff
- Collaborate with Management Team on employee relation issues to resolve work place conflicts
- May be required to attend trade seminars or conferences for professional development

- Area: Ability to work in the Ledgewood, NJ area
- Licensure requirements: Must have valid, open and active New Jersey Pharmacist license
- Education : Pharm D
- Years of experience: 5 + years in a sterile compounding setting
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 3 PM – 11 PM
- Length of Assignment: Temp to hire
- Pay: Doe
- Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screen
