Machining Team Lead

Are you an experienced leader looking for a new position in the New Year?  We have a position for you!  Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a company in Columbus, Indiana to join their manufacturing team as the Manufacturing Machining Team Leader.
The Manufacturing Machining Team Leader will be responsible for the management of day-to-day manufacturing operations.  Responsibilities will include:

-Managing a safe work environment
-Improving quality through standardization, quality checks, work instructions, and process inspection
-Developing Assistant Team Leaders and Associates through training
-Management and improvement of production hours and line stop time
-Improvement of machine uptime through TPM activities
-Promoting kaizen activity
-Visualization of daily management KPIs to find and drive opportunities for improvement

The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Machining Team Leader position will:
-Have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in machining/laser cutting environments (BS or AS degree is preferred)
-Have a high level of technical understanding of CNC machining, laser, and brake press forming experience
-Be driven and be able to identify problems/improvement opportunities through visual management tools such as weak point management, pare to diagrams, and other TPS tools
-Have experience in high production, fast paced manufacturing environments
-Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Project)

This is a direct hire opportunity.  Approximately 50K plus bonuses.
