Assistant Stylist - Home - Full-time

Job Overview:

Macy's is looking for a motivated and experienced Stylist Assistant for our e-commerce photography studio in Brooklyn, NY. The candidate will help organize, prep and press textiles for a high volume daily shot count for a wide variety of home product photography. The candidate will maintain details of Macy's imagery standards and help execute styling direction.

Essential Functions:

Press textiles applying knowledge of fabrics and heat to produce high quality finish
Help stylists with various styling techniques
Keen attention to detail and experience in a deadline-driven workplace
Provide support to Art Directors, Stylists and Photographers
Partner with other team members, merchandise coordinators and Operations group
Prepare merchandise for tabletop shoots

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Experience with preparing home textiles for photography: specifically stacks, drapes, and bedding
A benefit would be 1+ years working in a photography studio environment with an emphasis on Home

Communication Skills:

Strong communication skills

Reasoning Ability:

Strong time-management skills
Ability to multi-task

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to prep, pin, steam and press textiles, standing and walking throughout day
