QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:
Education:
Knowledge of electroencephalography testing procedures and equipment, brain disorders and physiological functioning, and the ability to read graphs, distinguish abnormal characteristics and detect artifacts normally obtained through completion of a
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
The technologist is strongly encouraged to obtain one or more of the following registries from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET), from the following twelve months after hiring:
o Electroencephalography ;
o Evoked potentials; or
o Nerve conductions
(Registries in electroneurodiagnostics from other countries may also be considered as fulfillment of the registry requirement.)
