Summary

Market Managers are responsible for running all aspects of the assigned store location and tent locations including, but not limited to, financial management, business operations, customer service and retention, promotions, inventory, staffing, employee training and development.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Sales Performance

  • Assume direct accountability for all customary store and tent operations.
  • Responsible for achieving Market order, CPA, and budget goals set by upper management.
  • Assure fulfillment of all net sales and revenue goals, including developing sales strategies and tactical application.

Personnel Development

  • Motivate, lead and train a high performing sales team.
  • Evaluate team members – strengths/weaknesses, career goals, background, and experience to facilitate growth and development.
  • Role-play with team to help them sharpen their skills and learn to deal with challenging situations. Provide store staff support during the course of any given day.

Operation and Preparation

  • Analyze business trends, track competitor landscape, share best practices with other stores.
  • Scout for new distribution events and or locations within Market
  • Maintain and track store and tent equipment inventory
  • Engage in community activities and business development that support business goals
  • Assume ownership of issues, proactively identify challenges and develop improvement plans

Hiring

  • Actively recruit and promote quality sales associates that exceed the accepted minimum standards of the company
  • Conduct new hire on-boarding, orientation and training for retail and field associates
  • Conduct sales associate interview and evaluate candidates through

Customer Service

  • Promote positive customer experience through modeling great customer service and handling escalations.
  • Create a positive work environment, to facilitate a positive customer experience.

Communication

  • Consistently communicate with District Manager to keep abreast of changes, potential customer issues and assist with resolution of issues
  • Conduct employee meetings communicate company objectives, policies and initiatives
  • Demonstrate solid technical competence for all products and services sold
  • Assist in other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by Management.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years proven retail sales management experience (interactive sales process, commissioned sales)
  • 3 years of experience managing against financial goals, budgeting, forecasting and managing results
  • 3 years of experience in recruiting, managing and developing employees

Desired Qualifications

  • 5 years proven retail sales management experience
  • 3 years of experience with back office systems (billing, call center, etc.)
  • 3 years of experience managing retail operations for a wireless telecom service provider
