Client in the Visalia/Tulare area is searching for a Warehouse Lead.

Job Description:

Plans, organizes, and monitors all aspects of the Warehouse while working alongside the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee picking/order fulfillment duties.
  • Oversee the loading/unloading of trucks, checking of merchandise, matching purchase orders to bill of lading/packing slip.
  • Assist with loading/unloading freight shipments utilizing the forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Assist with receiving, i.e. purchase order receipts, data entry on company computer system, scanning, labeling, and sorting.
  • Coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of Warehouse Associates.
  • Document and maintain working procedures for all tasks.
  • Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be pulled and prepped for shipping
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in pallets or in bins.
  • Perform product inspection for outgoing orders and perform a secondary quality check of other team members’ orders for accuracy of outgoing orders.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow all safety regulations while also ensuring your team is also following those guidelines.
  • Monitor and confirm records on incoming shipments. Ensure receiving reports accurately report material received.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of recent, relevant experience.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with computer equipment.
  • Experience operating all warehouse equipment
  • Bilingual a plus but not required.

  • Always works with honesty and integrity.
  • Able to successfully work in a changing environment
  • Ability to work in fast paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong managerial and conflict resolution skills. Able to effectively train, coach and mentor personnel; provide current, direct, complete, and "actionable" positive and corrective feedback to others.
  • Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment – forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment. Good interpersonal skills. Is conscientious and respectful of others within the organization.
  • Requires considerable stooping, bending, lifting, and standing most of the workday.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly through verbal and written means.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues..
  • Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures a plus but not necessary.
  • Organized and efficient. Ability to organize and prioritize work
Shifts: 1st and 3rd

Hours: 8-12 Hour shifts (OT during peak seasons)

Pay: $15-20/HR Depending on Experience
