(Water Pipeline- General Engineer Contractor)

Construction Co is seeking candidates for a career opportunity in the Water Pipeline Utility Industry. This great employment opportunity is to join the Estimating/Pre-Construction Group as a Estimator at our Fontana, CA office. Successful candidates will be trained and exposed to all aspects of the Water Pipeline Industry.
Candidates must possess a team orientated attitude, strong communication skills, higher-level organizational and attention-to-detail abilities. Previous estimating or industry experience is required. Candidates must be able to work full-time at our Fontana office.
Training and instruction in the below estimating responsibilities will include:

• Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Thoroughly review front ends and specifications for scope or pricing impact items.
• Obtain and evaluate material, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare conceptual estimates for budgeting projects.
• Able to communicate, schedule, analyze information, and take responsibility for estimating duties.
• Review bid documents for potential conflicts and constructability issues.
• Communicate with clients, gather all necessary data, and analyze all information in order to assemble complete project cost.
• Confer with general contractors/construction managers, water company representatives, engineers, and designers on changes or adjustments for estimates.
• Follow company procedures for communication, dialogue, timesheets, and assembling of proposals.
