Summary of Position: 
Working within a designated station, manages each guests dining experience from the time they are seated until they depart. Through his/her attitude, attentiveness and demeanor the Server ensures that each and every guest’s experience is pleasant, with their expectations being met or exceeded.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greets guests within (1) minute of their being seated.
  • Takes drink orders, suggesting specialty drinks, non alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, etc. and delivers them promptly and accurately to each guest.
  • Uses responsible beverage service.
  • Suggests an appetizer and delivers it promptly if ordered.
  • Describes the daily specials.
  • Takes each guests order in pivot point order and delivers entrées to the table without asking who has what.
  • Suggests add-on orders.
  • Knows the menu thoroughly and accurately and can answer any questions.
  • Checks back with guests within (2) minutes to make sure guests’ satisfaction.
  • Offers re-fills on beverages without being bothersome.
  • Removes plates, glasses or unused items as soon as possible.
  • Enters all items ordered in aloha accurately.
  • Presents check, picks up payment and returns with change or voucher immediately.
  • Advises manager of any guest complaints.
  • Observes other Server’s stations and applies team work to help where needed.
  • Completes any other duties assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with problem resolution
  • Ability to anticipate guests’ needs
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and ability to use the POS station quickly and accurately
