PURPOSE
Responsible for full verification of all stock items to be supplied to invesitgator sites, their safe storage and handling within the Warehousing Area and the continuity of the supply chain to all QLAB Departments.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order stock as required, in a timely manner taking account of lead times. Monitor stock levels to ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained, and maximum stock levels are not exceeded. Monitor expected future stock requirements using QLIMS. Inform supervisor if minimum stock level is breached or suppliers delivery timelines/quality performance gives cause for concern.

Maintain a rotating system of expiry dates and lot numbers, ensuring stock with the earliest expiry is utilized first and expiries/lots are not mixed, ensuring stock held matches expiry dates held in CTM printroom.

Update all relevant stock spreadsheets on a daily basis ensuring all PC stock transactions are complete and updated with quantities and dates of orders placed.

Pre-assemble work order stock for CTM and pick stores requisitions for all areas. Working closely with Inventory Control Technicians on the floor, ensure tasks are set and completed on time, and the standard of work is completed to the expected level, feeding back to the supervisor of any issues.

Collect all deliveries from loading bay, log, QC, receipt in and distribute as required.

Liaise with suppliers and internal customers (e.g. PSC, Purchasing and Finance departments) on all stock related issues such as price variances, non receipts of goods and supplier issues.

Ensure all stock purchased specifically for a protocol is billed accordingly.

Set up and monitor call off orders.

Train new starts within the department, ensuring they are trained as per the department training matrix.

On a monthly basis, ensure all cycle-counts are completed and stock histories for each stock area are completed. Review historical inventory analysis each month to review and update minimum and re-order stock levels in agreement with the supervisor.

Follow up on Purchase Orders to obtain delivery timescales. Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance.

Deal with Inter-lab shipping requests when required, ordering required goods and shipping to other QLAB locations.

Maintain close links with study PMs and Set Up managers to ensure essential stock item availability for study start-ups. Source and procure new stock items for new study launches as and when required.

Closely monitor the returned kits procedure is being followed and take responsibility in insuring all returned kits are logged and dealt with promptly.

Maintain and enforce all department SOPs.

Ensure the Housekeeping within the warehouse area is kept tidy and presentable at all times and being responsible at ensuring all stock is stored and labeled correctly.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good computer knowledge and spreadsheet skills

Good communications kills

Ability to safely operate truck and other warehouse equipment

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients


MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or educational equivalent and 3 years of related experience including 2 years in inventory control; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers

Regular sitting for extended periods of time
