Part-Time Team Member
The Pub at Wegmans is now hiring for part time Front-of-House and Back-of-House positions including roles such as Server, Server Assistant, Host(ess), and Prep Cook! What is my job:

Server: The job of the Server at The Pub is to provide incredible service by working to promote and sell items by sharing knowledge about our menu and beverage offerings; Servers practice suggestive selling techniques to assist guests in choosing items for their meal. In addition, Servers assist in supporting restaurant operations as by demonstrating exceptional people skills, food & beverage knowledge and service techniques.

Server Assistant: The job of the Server Assistant at The Pub is to provide incredible service by supporting servers and bartenders in attending to tables and meeting the needs of guests and supporting the Culinary Team in accurately expediting and delivering food items to our guests. The Server Assistant assists the service/bar and culinary team by ensuring all elements of an exceptional dining experience are achieved.

Host(ess): The job of the Host(ess) is to greet guests warmly, escort them to their table and ensure their experience is off to an incredible start. This position is also responsible for ensuring reservations are scheduled, table assignments are effectively planned and guests’ waiting time is as positive as the rest of their time at The Pub to ensure a total dining experience they can’t get anywhere else.

Cook: In this position, you’ll educate our customers about the exceptional ingredients and products we offer, as well as ensure great tasting prepared foods are available for customers to enjoy throughout the day!

Work Environment:

• Work involves continuous interactions with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to4 hours
• May be exposed to various allergens
• Specific motions, weight lifting requirements and temperature conditions will vary by department
• Perishable and Prepared Foods departments require proper and safe handling of knives and other cooking or baking utensils and equipment
• In order to maintain a high standard of food safety, it is Wegmans’ policy that when working in Perishable and Prepared Foods areas a hair restraint must be worn at all times. Also, facial ornaments & jewelry must be removed.

• Days/hours requirements: part-time employees may work up to 30 hours/week, with shifts ranging between 4 and 8 hours at a time based on department needs. Weekly hours and specific shifts are not guaranteed and we do not offer set schedules. The most successful applicants offer an availability spanning several hours at a time, on multiple days/week. Specific days/hours of work vary by position/department and will generally include weekends.

Qualifications

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Days/Hours Requirement: Ideal candidates will have a flexible availability between the hours of 10am-10pm each day of the week, Sunday-Saturday. Shifts range from 4 hours to 8 hours long. Weekend availability is required and holiday availability is preferred. This position also requires year round availability.
