Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his/her shift, within company policy, with the over-all goal of serving customers according to the customer needs and thereby contributing to the profitability of their Sam's Mart site. The CSR is always responsible for safety, cleanliness, efficient operation and security of the site even though the Site Manager bears ultimate responsibility and authority.

Essential Functions:
● Observe operating hours and shift assignments as assigned by the Site Manager including proper work time recording and unaided efficient use of the cash register system
● Provide customers with excellent service, prompt and courteous, according to their needs including listening attentively to their questions and being familiar with the site and all its product offerings
● Provide a fresh and inviting product offering to customers by keeping coolers, store shelves, beverage areas and displays clean, fronted and well stocked
● Maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for customers and employees including the outside area. This upkeep feature of the job may consist of cleaning floors, shelves, counters, beverage distribution areas, bathrooms, petroleum distribution areas and all on-site areas where customers and/or employees have access
● Other duties as assigned by the Site Manager

Minimum Qualifications
● High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
● 0-1 year experience in retail preferred
● Read, understand, speak, hear and write English
● Basic interpersonal skills
● Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations to understand customer's transactions, make change, and account for monies and complete shift reports accurately
● Reliable transportation
● Basic computer skills
● Ability to move around entire site independently




PHYSICAL DEMANDS

● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
● Lift and carry merchandise, including cases of beverages which may weigh 25 pounds or more, to display/stocking areas including the beverage cooler
● Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, clean outside areas which may include sloping areas, and lift and carry trash and/or containers to a disposal area.
● Remain in cooler, stocking shelves, in temperatures as low as 32 degrees for as long as 30 minutes. The cooler may be seen as a confined space and personal mobility is a requirement

● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes in an office environment, and majority of the time is exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
● This position will be at a Sam's Mart C-store with exposure to outside elements, moving vehicles, and chemicals on a daily basis.
● This is a full-time position, requiring schedule flexibility surrounding business needs.
