The Compliance Consultant will be responsible for monitoring changes with laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines. This individual will be responsible to establish, mandate and implement standard policies, procedures and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. They will conduct state - specific legal research and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct state - specific legal research
Participates in the development of business strategy
Monitor changes to requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
Support the collection of data for regulatory filings
Predicts emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
Monitor external regulatory audits
Support Central Region Compliance Team
Implement the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience working in a government or healthcare environment with experience in compliance
Experience with regulatory filings and working with regulators
Demonstrable project skills
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Superior oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:

Working experience with Medicare and / or Medicaid regulations
