The HR System Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the configuration, maintenance, provisioning, operation, and ongoing administration of our Talent Management System - SuccessFactors. This role participates in research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This role ensures that HR systems and related procedures adhere to organizational processes, policies and guidelines.

This role will assist project teams with technical design and issue resolution. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of HR operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. This role will have responsibility for setting systems administration requirements globally, establishing global governance processes and will influence the work of the international divisions HR systems admin support.

Operations and Support
  • Provide recommendations for implementing new functionality provided by vendors via upgrades, patches, and releases.
  • Perform required testing related to upgrades, releases, fixes, enhancements
  • Communicate planned systems downtime to peers
  • Perform regular system monitoring and periodic audits, verifying the integrity and availability the system, data feeds, and key processes, reviewing system notifications and logs
  • Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause where possible, documenting effectively and escalating appropriately
  • Research, create, change, and inactivate user accounts for systems access as needed
  • Provide other HR systems support upon request from various constituencies.
  • Serve as liaison and escalation contact to third party SAAS vendors
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Maintenance
  • Configure systems as required by the business’ operational needs.
  • Execute mass data changes as needed utilizing data load tools when applicable
  • Develop and maintain documentation of operational, configuration, and/or other procedures
  • Maintain table setups as business structures change
  • Assist with updating various online resources and reference documents

Global Support / Management
  • Establish global systems admin processes and procedures
  • Influence the work of the global HR systems admins
  • Manage global compliance to established policies and procedures

Knowledge / Skills:
  • Bachelor (4-year) degree
  • 2 - 4 years system administration experience
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and/or discuss complex information with others in a clear way, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people
  • Must be comfortable working with a variety of user groups: senior executives to entry-level
  • Success identifying, proposing, documenting, & implementing streamlined processes
  • Experience managing HR systems projects and working with technical resources is required
  • Proven ability to understand business requirements in a variety of functional areas
  • Able to work on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships, resolve problems, remove barriers, & communicate effectively
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills; thrive in a team environment
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, SAAS systems, help desk tools, and MS Office a plus
