We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Vice President, Marketing at HomeGoods.

The HomeGoods Assistant Vice President, Marketing position is based in our Framingham, MA headquarters. The AVP, Marketing is accountable for the successful formulation and implementation of the multi-channel brand marketing strategy intended to drive short and long term growth of the brand. This includes development of a distinct brand platform that informs annual marketing and communication plans, and all resulting advertising, content development and distribution, paid media, social media direction and owned digital channels. This individual is the main liaison, and manages oversight of, the external strategic, advertising and digital Agency partners.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing for HomeGoods, this individual is an active participant in driving profitable sales for all channels through a combination of strategies designed to increase market penetration and awareness while simultaneously maximizing the efficiency of all investments in those efforts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate strategic multi-channel marketing plans in accordance with company objectives, and direct execution of all components included in those plans.
  • Partner with external Strategic Agency to determine distinct brand positioning and expression of that positioning across all integrated media channels.
  • Partner with Strategic, Advertising and Digital Agency partners to create differentiated, break-through creative work that will increase brand awareness, familiarity and affinity. Monitor Agency performance and direct contract negotiations.
  • Oversee the annual integrated marketing and communications plans to ensure strong sales, increased awareness and resulting market share growth.
  • Drive direction, in partnership with TJX Media team and external Agency, on media strategies, budget allocation and placement based on annual marketing plans.
  • Partner with TJX Consumer Insights team to understand macro and environmental trends and their impact on the HomeGoods brand positioning and shopping experience.
  • Partner with external Digital Agency to develop a content strategy across channels and development of all associated assets.
  • Set marketing direction and oversee team on execution of multi-channel communication plans for all New Stores/Grand Openings.
  • Ensure marketing spend is on budget and that funds are allocated to generate high-impact results with maximum efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships across TJX divisions and within HomeGoods to support seamless partnership with marketing.
  • Attract, assess, retain, and develop talent by creating an environment that provides direction, continuous learning and development, and commitment to common vision and shared values. Develop successors and talent pools for key positions across the corporation. Provide accurate timely developmental feedback to all team members.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 15+ years multi-channel marketing experience with a specific emphasis on brand strategy via agency or client side
  • Direct experience building differentiated brand platforms
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing and directing integrated communications plans and associated execution
  • Developed leadership skills along with proven experience managing multiple teams and multiple marketing functions
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated success collaborating, partnering and influencing at all levels and across all functions of the organization
  • Recognizable executive presence and presentation
  • Comfortable managing deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced, changing environment
