Overview:

The Analyst supports Macy’s Merchandising Group (MMG) by providing information systems solutions, analysis, and reporting services within the Private Brand Technology (PBT) team. This role is responsible for supporting the optimization of processes and efficiencies within this area of responsibility, and supporting PBT’s strategic vision.

· PBT Extended Management teams and staff

· MMG Product/Merchant Community (all Family Of Business’)

· Finance teams

· Overseas Offices (OSO)

· Macy’s Systems and Technology Teams (MST)

Essential Functions:

· Provide business process analytics for PBT groups and systems; requires keen requirements gathering skills and the ability to relate technical concepts and proposals to business audiences.

· Support reporting and information solutions for MMG, including Business Objects, Cognos, SAP BW, ECC Queries, and various data collections and platforms.

· Provide systems analytics for PBT managed applications and platforms; includes analysis, documentation, solution proposals, and stakeholder communication. Requires broad understanding of IT systems and best practices.

· Assist with the building and implementation of PBT tools and processes; play a key role in associated training and support activities.

· Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to technical, process, and communication challenges.

· Uses independent judgment to support the strategic vision within the functional area, implements operational policies and directives, communicates progress towards goals and objectives

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree, 3-5 years of total experience

· HIGHLY proficient in Excel

· Highly proficient in utilizing Business Objects for reporting

· Ability to manage multiple projects involving cross-functional project teams within budgetary and schedule constraints

· Extensive analytical skills, deep business analysis knowledge and best practices

· Practical experience supporting ITIL Service Lifecycle best practices; demonstrated process improvement practices

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts

· Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, technical information to senior level executives in a simple and understandable format
