Human Resources Assistant ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative support duties for the Human Resources Department.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from databases as needed.
- Maintains employee credentialing to include system data entry, filing and periodic audits.
- Develops and maintains interview schedules for HR Generalist. Communicates with the applicant throughout the recruiting/hiring process.
- Conducts pre-employment and onboarding administration for new hires, including assistance with the HR Application Tracking System.
- Maintains personnel filing system to ensure timely and accurate filing.
- Generates various forms of correspondence as needed.
- Perform a variety of general office support duties; make copies; maintain calendar of activities, meetings, and various events for assigned staff; process mail including receiving, sorting, timestamping, logging, and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence and packages; order office supplies; reconciliation of invoices; scanning and emailing of billing information.
- Greet visitors to the station and provide excellent customer service to employees and guests with general questions.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Education / Training:
- Requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through successful completion of an Associates level program.
- Specialized training and experience in the field of Human Resources may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Work Experience:
- Requires a minimum of two years' relevant work experience in a Human Resources environment.
- Familiarity with employment law practices is desired.
Contacts and Communications: Requires a level of communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and tactfully with applicants, all levels of employees and management staff, vendors and the general public.
Analytical Demands: Requires the analytical ability to maintain existing and create new records and reports. Requires the ability to monitor and track employee status changes.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of PC operations and keyboarding skills. Requires demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
