Branch Manager - Maumelle, AR

Description

Oversee and manage a small (less than $100M in annual revenue and ranging in size from 35,000 to 100,000 sq foot.) distribution center.

• Plan, lead and assess all daily processes to ensure order fulfillment and production (if present).
• Plan, lead and manage all human resource processes at the local facility. This includes staffing, performance management, compensation administration and training and development.
• Plan and oversee daily and ongoing expenses to ensure that financial capital is used as effectively as possible.
• Oversee and monitor all aspects of inventory management to ensure that product is received and moved correctly.
• Support contract negotiations for new business by partnering with local sales representatives and sales leadership. Provide timely responses to service failures, customer concerns and/or visiting key accounts.
• Monitor activities of the work team to ensure safe practices are in place and followed and housekeeping guidelines are followed.
• Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and private truck fleet.
• Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
• Budgetary responsibility (expense, assets, production, project, etc.)

Qualification

Education

• Bachelor's degree.

Relevant Work Experience

• At least 10 years of business experience with 10 years being in a distribution center environment. Intermediate skill level.
• At least 5 years management experience with demonstrated expertise in sourcing and selecting supervisors, support personnel and warehouse associates.

Additional

• Ability to perform overnight travel two to six times per year.
• Able to work a full early and late shift plus weekends a minimum of once a month.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds with the ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments (32F – 95F).
