About this job
We have a client with a Regional Maintenance Facility in Tucson, AZ which is currently looking for contract Structures/Sheet Metal Technicians.
Candidates will be working in a temperature controlled environment, performing modifications and repairs on CRJ 200's, 700's and 900's. As well as performing all heavy checks on their fleet of CRJ's. Commercial experience is preferred, but will accept military experience.
Requirements:
FAA Airframe license preferred but not required
Experience working on regional aircraft is preferr but not required
Must have basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals
Basic knowledge of aircraft systems
Basic knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to, SR Maintenance Manual and Component Installation Manuals, System Manual, Maintenance Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and various technical information necessary to perform job
Basic knowledge of maintenance manuals, parts catalog, and applicable FAA documents
Basic knowledge in fabrication of sheet metal and/or composite components and assemblies, aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings, sketches, advance designs, specifications and/or verbal instructions
Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job
Skill to fabricate and/or assemble various detail parts and components
Skill to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function
Skill to fabricate and install structural modifications on aircraft
Skill to apply sealing compounds
Skill to operate basic sheet metal support equipment including, for example, brake and shear
Skill to repair composite structures per structural and repair manuals as required by site
