Quality Control Lab tech

Quality control laboratory technician will preform various chemical and biological testing on material as well as prepare solutions to be used in testing.

perform a wide variety of analyses on intermediate and final gelatine products, purchased materials, in-process samples, by-products, process waters, and experimental samples as required by company needs.

This candidate will work in the Quality Control Lab in the Micro lab (media) doing preparation of microbiological media, Autoclaving, and disposal of waste.
Bachelor's degree required, experience 2 years preferred and able to lift 50 pounds.


 Sample collection and preparation.
 Perform appropriate tests according to established procedures in an efficient, timely, accurate and safe manner.
 Report test results in an accurate and legible manner.
 Interpret data as experience allows to assist in evaluation of data including the reporting of anomalies to QC Management.
 Maintain equipment in good working order including calibration.
 Assist in maintaining inventories of laboratory equipment and supplies.
 Training of other technicians when required.
 Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory.
 Interact with all co-workers in a professional manner.
 Assist in all areas of the laboratory as required.
 Support and follow GELITA USA's GMP policies.
 Support GELITA USA's Quality and Food Safety Policy through accurate and timely testing.
 Other Duties as Assigned by QC Management
