Our client in Bristow, VA is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Human Resource Assistant. This position is a Direct Placement.

  • Full-time
  • Monday - Friday (No Weekends)
  • 8:30AM - 5:00PM

The HR Assistant supports employees and the Director of HR with day-to-day HR initiatives in payroll, employee relations, recruitment and benefits administration.

Job Duties

  • Data entry of new hire data and changes (salary, deductions, process benefits/premium deductions, employee information, etc.) into the HRIS/payroll system.
  • Process payroll weekly including; preparation of certified payroll reports and preparation of state and federal payroll taxes. Maintain accuracy of data in the system. Resolve all payroll issues in a timely fashion and according to government regulations with minimal impact to the employee and the company.
  • Prepare and place ads for open positions. Phone screen candidates and coordinate interviews with management.
  • Prepare offer letters, conduct reference checks, and provide new hire orientation.
  • Track and maintain EEO and VETS statistics in accordance with Federal and State laws.
  • Process enrollments, changes and terminations of employee benefits in internal systems and with external vendors. Resolve claims issues with vendors and brokers as they arise.
  • Prepare annual benefit enrollment materials and communications and answer employee questions related to benefit changes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 4 years of related work experience or HS Diploma with 8 years related work experience
  • Ability to multi-task, and orchestrate processes through influence and leadership.
  • Must be credible, honest and exercise good judgment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English & Spanish.
