We are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in the Eden Prairie, MN office.
 
This position will prepare financial reports based on management requests and create spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts.  To be successful in this position a candidate will enjoy spending a significant amount of time working in excel and with large, complex sets of data.  This position is on Optum Corporate’s FP&A team, which will give the candidate excellent exposure to all of Optum’s businesses and an unique view of the work being done by senior management.
 
Primary Responsibilities


Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget

Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders

Able to handle complex sets of data across multiple iterations with a strong attention to detail

Investigate unusual variances and track down answers to uncommon questions

Identify and drive improvements to reporting process

Clearly document and articulate work and assumptions to others

Ad hoc spreadsheet creation and financial analysis

Requirements

Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

1+ year accounting and/or finance experience

Experience preparing financial reports

Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel
 
Preferred Qualifications


Hyperion Essbase  experience

Financial and variance analysis experience
