Whelan Event Services is searching for a Recruiting Specialist for our Twin Cities office!

Whelan is an industry leading provider of event staffing and security services to entertainment venues nationwide. This is a full-time position with a base schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. This position does require the applicant to be available to work nights and weekends.

The employee will be responsible for:
  • Recruiting applicants and non-profit groups
  • Completing the hiring process with all new employees
  • Employee Scheduling
  • Answering the phone
  • Maintaining office cleanliness and a positive environment
  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with all state licensing and company policies
  • Inventory management
  • Employee recognition and disciplinary action
  • Managing employees


Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
  • Have a clean criminal background
  • Be able to pass a drug screen
The ideal candidate is:
  • A hard worker
  • Flexible
  • Timely
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer savvy – specifically with Microsoft Office products
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision


Education

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
  • Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED) – college degree preferred
