As part of our FACETS application development team, you will predominantly be involved in leading and mentoring a team of developers for delivering business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. You'll stretch your skills and grow your career as a primary contributor in the design, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with the established specifications and business requirements in order to deliver business value. This is a unique lead role on the development team where you’ll get the opportunity to understand the end to end process and contribute to building highly scalable and robust applications to meet our business needs. There will be little to no hands-on development in this role.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
Propose simple and effective solutions to meet the business need
Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
Participate and contribute to the development of good application design
Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
Isolate performance bottle necks and propose technical solutions to address them
Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and / or approaches
Be the development point of contact for end to end project delivery

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field or equivalent relevant work experience
6+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle experience
6+ years of experience working as a developer on Oracle / Sybase databases, designing backend application tables, building complex functions and stored procedures, fine tuning queries to improve performance
4+ years of experience working on object oriented programming languages like Java, C#  or ETL Tools like DataStage
Experience working in a virtual team environment 
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical, problem solving skills, must be able to work well with teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with offshore resources
Team lead or supervisory experience
Healthcare experience and exposure to EDI and HIPAA transactions
Knowledge of TriZetto Facets, or project experience supporting a claims system
Experience in Mainframe
Experience with Source Control systems (like SVN), Testing tools (like ALM)
