Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Hog Ring Supervisor

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Summary: The supervisor shall perform all leadership functions for the manufacturing floor which includes providing work planning, direction, discipline and mentoring to the hourly staff to achieve the business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the activities of the team members in the production of quality products in accordance with engineering drawings, work direction and company policy to ensure a quality product delivered on time.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policy.
Implements job related training for all employees to his/her department.
Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve insulation blanket processing issues and creates and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
Responsible for creating a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards.
Manage the scheduling of production: set work schedules, provide training and coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and set departmental goals and expectations.
Ensures insulation blanket processing methodology and processes (quality, safety) are adhering to and not compromised.
Supervisory responsibility includes management of employee performance, hiring, discipline, development and recourse planning.
Acts as a member of the management team and performs other duties as directed by position or required by the Operations Manager.
Insure the appropriate level of accountability for facility goals and objectives at the team leaders and team members levels.
Monitors and take appropriate timely improvement action to meet production quality and quantity.
Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics.
Develops, analyses, and presents monthly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, and safety.
Assigns controls and monitors required resources to achieve established schedules.
Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

Minimum Requirements:
1 to 3 years of insulation blanket experience preferred
Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
Must be flexible to work various shifts and industrial environments.
Ability to work overtime as needed to support the needs of the customers.
Must be familiar with insulation blanket fabrication methods.
Be able to read an English tape measure.
Be able to read basic instructions in English.
Warehouse and assembly experience is a plus.
Ability to follow engineering drawings and production procedures.
Experience in the Automotive, Aerospace or Marine upholstery trades a plus.

Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 20 lbs., bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Licenses/Certification: None

Language Requirements: Bi-Lingual is strongly preferred. Able to read instructions, numbers and write legibly in English.
