This position is responsible for assisting in the routine patient care of patients in the EMTC as directed by the Clinical Nurse. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Requires ability to problem solve. Requires EMT certification. Requires Indiana State drivers license. Requires knowledge of routine patient care procedures. Requires familiarity with equipment and supplies. Requires basic understanding of infection control. Requires ability to observe and report changes in patient conditions. Requires ability to communicate. May require ability to read maps.
