Staffmark is in partnership with a Global Steel Company located in Santa Fe Springs. We have temp to hire Maintenance Specialist positions available. Experienced, pay's $20.00-$25.00
This position is responsible for the maintenance of all company machinery. Duties include maintaining and repairing of machinery, installing and performing testing for new machines, performing scheduled maintenance, maintaining and repairing building equipment, and performing maintenance projects. In addition, this position is required to check the inventory of both electrical and mechanical parts.
Job Duties:
Perform complex Electronic, Electric, Mechanical, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics repairs without close supervision.
Responsible for operating plant air compressors.
Performs scheduled maintenance such as filter changes for machines.
Installs and maintains wiring for machines.
Repairs and/or replaces hoses and directional valved of machines.
Installs and maintains air control valves of machines.
Repairs parts and/or fabricates new parts for machines.
Maintains and repairs building equipment as needed.
Installs and implements new machinery and repairs/adjusts as necessary.
Performs various types of maintenance projects such as electrical circuitry as required.
Performs the maintenance of the company facilities.
Communicates with maintenance job shops, and manufacturers of machinery and equipment as needed for repairs/maintenance that are not be done on-site.
Performs welding to repair machines as required.
Performs the monthly and yearly inventory check of both electrical and mechanical parts.
Submits parts requisitions to supervisor as needed.
Responsible for understanding and complying with the company's safety procedures and safe work practices.
Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and mean in work processes.
Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors.
Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisor for solution.
Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members, co-workers and outside contacts.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Journey man level experience in electronic and/or mechanical maintenance with an analysis on rolling mill or heavy industry maintenance. Safety training certification. Forklift certification. Outside certifications such as industry electrical circuit, and electrical motors and controls.
