Automation Personnel Services has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in the Waxahachie area.
Our client is a fast growing privately held company that offers excellent benefits including 401k and profit sharing.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with automated equipment, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge. Ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information. Installs repairs and maintains machinery, equipment, setting up automated equipment. You will also perform maintenance and support duties, both planned and unplanned.
Runs diagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and performs repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance activities in all areas of plant.
Responsibilities:
* Respond to 'floor calls' to the production area when line problems and/or line stoppages occurs.
* Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention.
* Work with production team to make rapid, educated decisions regarding the issue at hand and trouble shoot systems, resolve issues by providing investigation, analysis, test, and follow-up where appropriate.
* Responsible for communicating with production and engineering personnel on other shifts to ensure equipment specific problems and needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
* The ongoing maintenance, testing and upgrading of all food manufacturing and packaging equipment.
* Installation and testing of new food manufacturing, packaging and processing equipment.
* Interface with machine tools and special equipment or test modules, troubleshoot existing equipment for electrical or electronic failures and change or modify machines to improve or update.
* Planned mechanical maintenance duties.
* Work with production personnel to identify and educate operator on appropriate machine use.
Pay: $23-$30 per hour Depending on Experience
